Cheap Dresses for Summer*

As August is drawing to an end (I know we're only half way through but I'm slightly prone to overexaggerating), I am determined to make the most of what is left of Summer and all my Summer clothing, with some help from the lovely people over at FashionMia, who offer a great range of cheap dresses, leaving me with more money to spend on those spontaneous Summer adventures that I love so much, all while looking slightly more stylish and put together than usual, By that, I mean I've actually gotten out of my pyjamas and potentially even brushed my hair, as you do...

What I Wore in Singapore.

I was originally planning on doing a lookbook in Singapore but, when it came down to it, I decided I couldn't be bothered and that I just wanted to enjoy my holiday. And if you end up taking over a thousand photos like we did, chances are, what you're wearing will be seen anyway. Mosquito bites, humidity that makes you feel like you're in a shower and my hair bobble snapping as soon as I left the house and then having to tie my hair up with a piece of string were also contributing factors, but at least I know I'd be able to survive in a LOST stranded on a desert island type scenario. I took four pairs of shoes with me, but after a 15 hour day in Converse and another in sandals, I knew heels would be a no go and that the rest of my trip would be spent in my Nike 'feels like you're walking on air' Free Runs 5.0, whether they went with my outfit or not. So, here's a few outfits what I wore in Singapore...

Winter Lookbook.

Today's post was originally going to be a Winter lookbook, something I was very excited about. I had the location thought up and my outfits written down, the only thing I was missing was time. The original idea was to do it during the last few days of the Christmas holidays, but someone didn't quite realise how much work she had to do and left it all until the last minute. It's great, I know. Instead, I've managed to put together on Polyvore, similar to what I've been wearing over the past few weeks. No, it might not be as interesting, but I do plan on doing a proper Spring lookbook. Enjoy!

2015.

Well the title of this post certainly felt weird to write. Yes, we are now firmly into 2015 and closer to 2020 than 2010. Feeling old yet? Me too. For the first post of the year, I thought we'd talk about a bit of a lighter subject and that is what will be happening on my blog throughout the year.

My Spring LookBook

I've loved looking at other people's lookbooks for a long time now. Whether they be clothes, make up, hairstyles, I've been hooked since day one. Considering how much I love looking through or watching them, I decided it was about time that I gave one a go. I wanted to do a video but considering my editing skills are non-existent and I haven't really had time to learn recently. Oh, and my confidence is almost as none existent as my editing skills. Barbara Palvin I am not. I decided there was something about photos that seemed a little less scary than a video.

I have a good camera, a whole wardrobe full of clothes and love putting outfits together so what could possibly go wrong? Answer; everything. Yes, that's very pessimistic of me, I know, but for some reason I was lacking inspiration and felt that every outfit I put together just didn't look right. Not only that, but none of the pictures came out how I'd imagined and the weather clearly wasn't on our side. 

We took the photos on what started of as a lovely, sunny, warm day that slowly got greyer and windier up until the point that we had to go inside. We figured that at this point, it wouldn't matter. We'd been taking photos for over two hours and I'd made multiple outfit changes so we had a quick look through the pictures and I was very disappointed though tried not to show it. 

I had another look through today and decided they weren't as bad as I'd previously thought (though still not how I'd imagined) but, after being assured that they were fine, I edited them down from one hundred and fifty-something to the ones you will see in this post!
