It's Coming to an End... - My Time in Perth.

This post was due to go up almost a month ago now but due to some... issues, shall we say, it got a bit delayed. When living on planes and island hopping, sometimes things just don't go to plan, and I'm okay with that! But yes, after a five month adventure, my time in Perth, and Western Australia in general, came to an end. I met some amazing people, made some amazing memories and, all in all, had a great time. I got to meet and truly bond with family that I didn't even know existed, and we all ended up having a bit of a cry at the airport (I blame the fact that I'd accidentally took too much cough syrup...). Because it's now been over a month since I left Perth, I thought it would be nice to look back on some photos from my time there. I'm sure this will be a blog post that I come back to in  a few years time, or probably even in just a few months!

Memory Box #2.

Back in November, I shared a few items from my Memory Box. I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a horder, I'm just an extremely sentimental person who can't bare to throw anything away and who keeps things that others probably chucked or would chuck in the bin at first opportunity. Either way, I enjoyed the post and going through some of the things in there, so thought it was time for part two.

March in Photos.

As mentioned in my last post, I can't deal with just how fast this year is going. Can you believe it's now April?! It will be Christmas before we know it. March, like February, was spent in Perth, Australia - it was my first full month spent here and I'm still enjoying it. I got my own place and also a job - I think it's safe to say that I landed on my feet. I've done plenty of exploring while here and also taken plenty of photos, some of which I thought I'd share with you!

My Make-Up: Then and Now.

The evolution of make-up and all things beauty fascinates me. I don't just mean formulas and how we are now able to completely change our faces, which really is one of the true beauties of make-up (pun definitely intended) but also the changes we make in our beauty regime. People that are now in their mid-20s went through stages of over fake tanning and buying pale MAC lipsticks, like Creme De Nude. My personal evolution has been slightly different...

London Memories.

So... I kind of move to Australia tomorrow. I loved my time in London so much, more so than even I expected. I enjoyed new experiences, new food, many adventures and met people who I know I will be friends with for life. I can't believe just how much I grew to love and care for them, despite having only known them all a few months or, in some cases, a few weeks! Like I said, I know we'll be friends for life and I'm so grateful to them for making my experience an unforgettable one. I'm already counting down the days until my next adventures with them all. For now though, I thought I'd share some of my favourite memories from my time in London.

The December Haul.

Everyone seems to spend a lot of money in December. There's the Christmas food to be bought, decorations, Christmas party drinks, gifts for friends and family... And then of course there are the presents that you buy yourself. Don't deny it, we've all been there. Everyone is happier and a bit more free with money and, as a reward for all our hard work, we end up treating ourselves. Well, that's what I did this year anyway... I deserved them, okay? Or at least that's what I'm going to tell myself.

Memory Box #1.

I'm a extremely sentimental person. I struggle to throw away anything and want to keep everything. Don't believe me? Just before I moved, I decided to have a clear out. I wanted to throw away quite a lot, including school/college work that I obviously wouldn't be needing anymore and a box of hairbobbles, most of which had started to split. Two months on and both of those things are currently sat at the end of my bed at home. I decided the college work held too many memories (and sleepless nights) to get rid of and that it would mean saying goodbye to a massive chapter of my life. The bobbles I couldn't explain, but for some reason; I just had to keep them. Ridiculous, I know.

New Beginnings.

I think it's time we had a chat. For a while now, I haven't been very happy with my blog. I think that, along with having loads of exams, is the reason I've been dipping in and out of it... But that's all about to change! I'm about the head off on a gap year, so what better time than to start again?

Meg.

Meg is my best friend. She has been since we were two years old, so I think you could say we know almost everything about each other. After all, it's not everyday that you can say that you've been friends with someone for seventeen years. Her mam happens to be my mam's best friend too, so it works well when they come out to visit us, which is exactly what they did this past week. Here are some photos from our trip...

Flashback Friday #13 - Blogmas Day 19.

So, I'm guessing that today is the last edition of Flashback Friday. Well, it is for now. There is a chance that I will be bringing it back in 2015. I'd like to be able to do more features and think this is a fun one to do, so watch this space!

January-June 2014 Memories - Blogmas Day 7.

During the few brief days that I did Blogmas last year, I wrote about my favourite memories from 2013, first from January to June and then from July to December. They were definitely some of my favourite posts to write, as it was nice to look back on the year. This is why I find it so important to document experiences, no matter how small they are. It was nice to go back and find photos from days that I'd completely forgotten about, so it only made sense to do the same thing this year. Here are my favourite memories from January - June 2014.

It's official, this is the penultimate edition of Flashback Friday! Admittedly, I have really enjoyed writing these posts, so this feature might just make a return in 2015 but I guess only time will tell! You do all seem to be enjoying it though, so that's nice.

September Memories.

As sad as I am that Summer is well and truly over, I am so looking forward to Autumn. Jumpers, scarves, boots, hot chocolate... and endless September favourites posts. Casarabonela and Beach Fun.

I was recently going through the infinite files of photos that I have stored on my laptop and found some photos that I remember intending to make a whole blog post on. They're from one weekend way back in the beginning of the Summer holidays, when one of my best friend's, Meg, came over to visit and when some other friends and I went to the beach with our dance teacher. I'm not going to go into too much detail now as they're from over three months ago, but thought it would be fun to share them with you anyway!

As it was my 18th (WAH!) birthday this past week, I decided that this week's Flashback Friday should be all about last year's birthday. My final birthday before legally being an adult. The final birthday where, in England, I couldn't go out and get smashed (not that I'd do that anyway). The final one where... anyway, you get the picture (LITERALLY. Yeah, okay, made myself laugh with that one).

It's hard to decide which of my favourite features is my favourite but, most weeks, it's definitely a toss up between Flashback Fridays and Style Crush Saturdays, mainly because I love reminiscing and I love clothing and fashion - simple as that! This weeks post has been featured on my blog on quite a few occasions now but, given that it's one of my favourite photos from my childhood and I know there are people that are new to this blog, I had to include it just one more time.
