January Favourites.

It's the first monthly favourites post of the year! Like I mentioned in my 2015 Favourites posts, I really stepped out of my comfort zone beauty wise and tried new things. Not only that, but I experimented with skincare and spent what was probably a bit too much money on clothes (my wardrobe grew three sizes). January has been a month where I've rediscovered some old favourites and continued using what I loved throughout the later months of 2015, but I haven't really tried anything new. Despite this, I thought I'd share what I've been loving recently with you.

A Letter to Amita... (@amerzxo)

Let's start off by doing a little introduction. This post is about Amita, one of my best friends. We met on Tumblr five years ago and, what could have turned out to be a complete and utter disaster, turned into one of the best decisions I have ever made. We spoke everyday for five years; sharing secrets, goals, fears and everything in between. We became best friends, despite not even having ever met. After my graduation, I had planned on moving to London before moving on to Australia. My accommodation fell through at the last minute and Amita immediately said I could move in with her.

A Week in Outfits #1.

Fashion is a big love of mine and something that I definitely don't feature enough of on my blog, especially considering just how much I talk and think about it in everyday life (fact: if you see me looking deep in thought, I'm probably planning future outfits). I've decided that I want to include more personal posts on my blog and that starts with sharing my outfits of the day. I'm thinking I'll do this every couple of weeks so that it doesn't get too boring. There's nothing I love more than seeing OOTD posts on Instagram and people's blogs, so hopefully you'll enjoy mine too!

Winter Wonderland.

Whenever Ariadna and I plan on meeting up for a quick coffee, we end up staying out for the entire day and most of the night. I love being with people that make me forget to look at my phone and who conversation just flows with, and she is definitely one of those people. Even when I was at work all day everyday and she was at university from 9am until 6pm, we still managed to meet up and go out. Throughout December, most of our adventures consisted in accidentally bumping into celebrities, going to designer shops and food markets, and also doing anything Christmassy! One of our Christmas days out involved a trip to Winter Wonderland. Here are some photos from that day...

Leather Jackets & Berry Lips.

Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world. I'm lucky enough to have been able to visit a few times now and also have plans to go back some time this year. No matter where I go, my outfit game always seems to get stepped up. This is probably because most of my time at home is spent in my work uniform or in my pyjamas, so I suppose going away is basically an excuse to actually wear proper clothes. Here are some photos of one of the outfits on my most recent trip to Paris!

Style Crush #1: Pernille Teisbaek.

Does anyone elses' Grandmotherscut out articles of newpapers or magazines, store them in envelopes and send them to you by post every couple of weeks? Mine has done it for the past few years and has done the same for my Mam ever since she moved out all those years ago. Now that I live just forty minutes away, she's started giving me them to me in person, which amuses me even more. It makes me happy to see that she does take an interest in my life and what interests me, meaning all the articles are beauty and fashion related. While having a flick through of some of them, I discovered an article on Pernille Teisbaek. I'd never heard of her before, but I'm now obsessed with her style.

Sephora Haul and Review.

I happen to be a Sephora member, which means they regularly update me on the latest trends, releases, discounts and deals. On my birthday, I received an email from Sephora saying that, as I was a member, they were going to send me a birthday present and three samples of my choice (out of a selected range). Sounds like a scam, I know - but it wasn't. The only thing I had to do was to buy anything from the website. They had a great amount of deals on at the time (and still do!).

Parisian Walks.

Considering just how passionate I am about fashion, it's a subject that rarely features on my blog, but 2016 is the year that that's going to change - starting with this post! Hopefully I'll be posting many more ootd's and also talking about other people's style. These are just just a few shots that my friend took of me on a recent trip to Paris, where we went just before Christmas.

The December Haul.

Everyone seems to spend a lot of money in December. There's the Christmas food to be bought, decorations, Christmas party drinks, gifts for friends and family... And then of course there are the presents that you buy yourself. Don't deny it, we've all been there. Everyone is happier and a bit more free with money and, as a reward for all our hard work, we end up treating ourselves. Well, that's what I did this year anyway... I deserved them, okay? Or at least that's what I'm going to tell myself.

2015 Favourites.

2015 was a great year for all things fashion and beauty. There were plenty of re-releases, new releases and a whole lot of collaborations. For me personally, it was the year that I really started branching out and experimenting with make-up, meaning I discovered a lot of new products that I grew to know and love. It wasn't just beauty products that I loved in 2015, there was a whole lot of other stuff too. Let's take a look at some of them, shall we?

Paris in Photos: Part 1.

You might hear this a lot of the next few weeks (expect ootd posts and more similar to this particular one), but Paris is easily one of my favourite cities in the world. I love the architecture, the food (CRÊPES), the people, the atmosphere and, well, French boys (yum). I was going to do a post for each day spent in Paris during my recent holiday there, but felt that you might get a tiny bit bored by it all and I don't think my heart could take knowing that I won't be back there for a while, so I decided to condense it down in to two posts. Expect the second post in a couple of weeks time. Below are a few photos from Disneyland, Versailles, the Louvre, Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle.

January Wishlist: Designer Bags.

I. Love. Bags. Backpacks, carry-ons, clutch bags, handbags... I love them all. The ones I want just seem to be just a little bit out of my price range. I've reached the point where I'm making monthly trips to Bicester Village outlet just to see some of my favourite bags and my willpower is being seriously tested. If there's something I love more than a designer bag, it's a designer bag on sale. Here are some of the designer bags that I am currently, and have been, lusting after...

New Year, New Plans, New Adventures.

You've probably read this on everyone's first blog post of 2016 and heard it from everyone but happy new year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and that it was everything you had wished for and more. Hm, my primary school teachers were right - I need to learn to use the word 'and' more. I had what I think was the best New Years Eve I've ever head! I headed out for food with friends, before making our way to Trafalgar Square to catch a glimpse of the fireworks, and then to Joe's Bar Covent Garden (if you're ever around, you have to go!). I think we eventually stumbled in around 5am, but it was so nice to ring in 2016 with some of my favourite people. I ended up completely living in the moment and only taking a few photos with people I don't actually know!
