Zooey Deschanel For Tommy Hilfiger

After two years of working together, the 500 Days of Summer and New Girl actress has finally debuted her clothing line for Tommy Hilfiger. The line, which debuted this past month at Macy's before arriving at tommy.com a few days later, is inspired by short, 60's dresses with plenty of interesting patterns and flirty fabrics. Zooey got her inspiration from old-school music, classic films and old Hollywood icons and her aim was to design a variety of dresses for all body shapes. Prices for the dresses, each named after one of
Zooey's friends, range from $98 to $109.

Lupita Nyong'o for Lancôme

Lupita Nyong'o has to be one of the most well known stars of the moment. After her Oscar winning performance in 12 Years a Slave, her career has only gone from strength to strength. With film directions and make-up brands reportedly fighting over her, it was recently announced that Lupita had signed on to become the latest face of Lancôme.

Met Gala 2014 - Worst Dressed Guests.

With the Met Gala being on of the biggest nights of the year fashion wise, as well as raising a lot of money for a great cause, it was obvious that there was going to be some absolutely amazing, as well as truly awful outfits. I recently published a post on some of my favourite looks but, as there were so many, I decided to feature my least favourite looks in a separate post. Enjoy!

Met Gala Couples.

Due to a few technical issues with my blog, AKA somehow deleting every single photo on my blog, I haven't been able to get out any blog posts. I'd planned to have quite a few go up this past week but was then sidetracked due to exams. I could have uploaded yesterday but considering I spent half the day retaking, redownloading and reuploading pictures for half of my blog posts (the other half will be done some time this week!), that was also a no go. Three posts I'd planned to have go up for the worst dressed from the Met Ball (coming sometime in the next two days), celebrities who attended with their designers (coming two days after that) and finally, best dressed couples, which is today's post. Yes, I really am milking this for all it's worth, I know but at least you all get to ogle over pretty outfits and handsome men! So, without further ado...

Met Gala 2014

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. With individual tickets costing a whopping $25,000, it is easily one of the biggest fundraising nights of the year. The event is overseen by Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour, who oversees both the benefit committee and the guest list. This year, the event was co-chaired by none other than Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper, among others. Each year, the committee of said event chooses a theme to celebrate the life of a fashion designer or of certain cultures. This year's theme was Charles James, who Vogue describe as being the “master of color comparatives, of the cut and fold of exceptional clothes”, Christian Dior claiming his designs were poetry and Cristobal Balenciaga describing him as the world's best and only dressmaker, so it was only right that he was to be honoured at the biggest night in the fashion calender.

Festival

During the week before the Easter holidays, my school and sixth form have what is known as culture week. For the first three days, there are activities, talks and games. On the Thursday, there is a Gymkhana: the school picks a theme and each class dresses up as something to do with that theme. You then complete the activities set and the people that complete all of the activities first, win. It is usually complete chaos. Unfortunately for me, I missed the first four days of culture week due to having sinusitis, which led to me being stuck at home.

Wishlist.

Being a lover of all things fashion, I find myself adding items to my wishlist on a daily basis. This wishlist mainly exists in my head, with the odd exception of items that I particularly love saved on my laptop, but sometimes it's fun to share them with you guys. Sometimes they mainly feature designer products but I decided today's post would be high street items that are affordable for everyone! Enjoy.
